Last weekend was a haze of traveling...we drove to Walton on Thursday night to stay over and drop off Gray. Grandma and Grandpa Orton watched him while we went on to Albany Friday morning for Tyler and Kelly's wedding. The rehearsal dinner was Friday night--Kyle then styed at Tyler's and I drove up to my sister's to see her and Maddy. The wedding was on Saturday afternoon at the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia, NY. It was a beautiful wedding, set on the Mohawk river. Tyler and Kelly were so happy-it was great seeing them experience their special day. Kyle was the best man and gave a wonderful speech at the reception. We are so happy for Tyler, Kelly, and their boys!!After the wedding we drove back to Walton for the night. Sunday we met up with Greg and Jess for lunch at the Vestal Moes--felt like we never left the Bing.

Tyler and Kyle at the rehearsal dinner. Don't they both look handsome!

“The winner ain't the one with the fastest car its the one who refuses to lose.” -Dale Earnhardt

Kyle spent Sunday with our friend John (aka Doobie) at the NASCAR race in Watkins Glen. He had been wanting to go for quite some time and finally got his wish when Doobie had an extra ticket. They had pit passes and got to meet Matt Kenseth. Lucky guy!!

Meeting Matt Kenseth!

Thanks for the ticket DeWALT (and Brian Smith!)

I am a true fan now!

Then followed that beautiful season... Summer....

We have been enjoying our summer. July has flown by with a flurry of activities and travel. Kyle really enjoys his new job and has been busy interviewing and hiring some new staff, as well as learning this new campus. Grayson has continued to grow and change and he amazes us on a daily basis! He loves spending time with his friends and family. He also loves eating all sorts of new fruits and vegetables as well as rolling over!! He has been sleeping much better since he learned to roll over onto his belly when he is sleeping! We are quite happy about this!!

The 4th of July--we went to a picnic at the Maddaleno's. Grayson loved the fireworks! Kim and Paige, Becky and Payton, Me and Gray, Jen and Braedan

"An anniversary is a time to celebrate the joys of today, the memories of yesterday, and the hopes of tomorrow." -Anonymous

Kyle and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary yesterday with a trip to Geneseo. We ate some subs at Aunt Cookies-which is THE BEST sub shop, in case you didn't know-and then we walked around campus. We ended the trip with some ice cream from Mama Mias. We talked about some great memories and people we met during our years there. Campus is so different-they have been working very hard to beautify the grounds. I told Kyle if we stay in the area, I would love to live there--it is such a great little town. Our hope is that one day Grayson will go there and meet his future wife--just like his mom and dad and Grandma and Grandpa Orton. We love Geneseo.

Monroe hall-Kyle lived here his junior year as an RA and I lived there my freshman year!

Kyle obviously loves his sub!

Check out my Slide Show!

“A house is made of walls and beams; a home is built with love and dreams.”

One week in our new apartment...it seemed a little cramped at first, but we are making it work. Living here has been great so far--there are tons of families with children, playgrounds, and toys. Kyle and I have been so busy moving in and organizing, as well as traveling to Albany over the weekend, that we haven't had the opportunity to get outside and meet anyone yet...I hope to get out today or tomorrow and possibly start weeding out front where I can plant some flowers. I will post more pics soon...
