"The rainy days a man saves for usually seem to arrive during his vacation." -Anonymous

Not on this vacation-we had perfect weather! The forecast called for thunderstorms for most of the week-but there was only one-while we happened to be farther down the beach where it wasn't raining!! We had an awesome time-our house was in a great location and we all loved the pool! It was a great week!!

The game room--we played pool almost every night!

Grayson's first trip to the beach-he really enjoyed it!

playing with Braedan in the sand
Mmm...what is the new snack...oh yea--the sand is salty and the little guys loved it!

Gray loves to climb in and out of things...Our last day (the Maddalenos had already left, boo!), we took the Dubois to our favorite beach on the sound-right next to the condos where we spent our honeymoon and then again two summers ago.
Bye, Bye OBX! We had a great time on our first family vacation!

"The sky is blue and the sun is shining/I feel like a bum with a pocket full of diamonds/I'm free as a bird and my spirit's flying...

That's enough to keep me Smiling" -Tim McGraw

We went with our friends, Kim and Chris, Jen and John,
to see the Tim McGraw concert at CMAC on July 16th.
We had great weather and a great time!!

Gray loves riding this tractor--he doesnt really push it anywhere yet, but he loves steering and getting on and off.

The little monkey--I do recall the various comments about this toy warned that kids would climb up in it...I thought, not my baby! Ha ha! Notice that he's not only sitting in it, but it's a bit crooked because he perched it on the table that fits into the yellow part!

Run, run, run, as fast as you can...he never stops!!

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken. -- James Dent

This past weekend, Lisa, Maddy, Gray, and I went to visit our parents. Kyle was away for the weekend and Mat had to work (poor, Mat!!). After shoveling a lot of dirt to fill in the spot where the pool used to be, we headed over to Chapel Park to play on the playground. On Sunday we grabbed some Sub Shop subs and headed up to Harris Hill for a picnic and carousel ride. We then headed downtown to see some sidewalk chalk art. And to complete the rounds of favorite places to eat-we had some Pudgies for dinner and then headed out to Fair Shake. We had a great weekend!!

Riding the carousel-Gray liked it (I think),
and Maddy didn't like riding on the horse,
but liked it when Lisa held her.
Next time they are riding the airplanes!
