How amazing you're already One. What a precious person you've become.

Gray's first birthday party!
We had a small immediate family party the Saturday after Christmas at the Leddy's house. We finally got to see Aesop and Petie-the alpacas. Aunt Sara made a fun snowman cake for Gray! We are very thankful that our family could help us celebrate!!

"Christmas is a day of meaning and traditions, a special day spent in the warm circle of family and friends." ~ Margaret Thatcher

Merry Christmas!! Happy first birthday, Gray!!
On our way from Walton to Ballston Lake, we made a quick stop in Franklin. Kyle's brother made Griffin an awesome puppet theater and we got him some puppets. We were so excited to see him open his present!!

Gray and Madilyn each got a wagon from Geema and Poppa!
We cant wait for warmer weather so we can take it for a spin!

Nighty night, what a great day!

We love this video of Gray-for some reason, he thought this was so funny!!

"They err who thinks Santa Claus comes down through the chimney; he really enters through the heart." ~ Mrs. Paul M. Ell.

Christmas Eve is finally here!! We spent a couple days in Walton. We had a great time-Grayson went to his first Christmas Eve party at the Richardson's house!

Santa, I wish you would bring me longer arms!!

It's almost Christmas and Gray's birthday!!
Thanks for my new carseat Grandma and Grandpa Orton!!

I'm so excited!! Thanks for the smiley pic, Melissa!!

Ho, Ho, Ho!
My first birthday present! What is it??

Time and Tide wait for no man, but time always stands still for a woman of thirty. - Robert Frost

On December 12th, Kyle threw me a surprise party for my 30th birthday(which was December 9th)!! My parents arrived on Friday afternoon-and my mom and I got to go get manicures and pedicures and go shopping! Lisa was supposed to go with us, but the Kolodzies weren't able to come because there was an ice storm in Albany! After we were done with the pampering, my mom directed us to the Tokyo House restaurant and I was surprised to see Kim and Chris, Jen and John, Becky and her friend, Abbie, Andrea, Kyle's parents, Sara and David, Ryan, and my Aunt Linda!! We had some yummy Japanese food! Then we went back to our apartment and hung out-Kyle's cousin Megan was there babysitting Grayson. My mom made a beautiful butterfly cake and I had fun opening some very thoughtful gifts! I am very grateful for such awesome friends and family--they all braved a snowstorm to come help me celebrate!! I am also very lucky to have such a great husband-he made my 25th and 30th birthdays something I will always remember fondly (something I wasn't sure I could do!)!
Saturday morning our families joined us for breakfast! And just as we had finished eating, the Kolodzies showed up!! It was a great weekend!!!

"He had a broad face and a little round belly, That shook, when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly." Clement C. Moore

Grayson met Santa for the first time the day before Thanksgiving.
He really does smile most of the time!

Winter came down to our home one night/Quietly pirouetting in on silvery-toed slippers of snow, And we, we were children once again." Bill Morgan, Jr.

November quickly passed-Grandma and Grandpa Orton came up for a visit, and we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Struble. Lisa and Maddy came in the day before Thanksgiving and my parents came on Thanksgiving morning. We spent Thanksgiving day here in Rochester visiting the Dalys and then moved over to my Aunt Linda's house. Lisa and Maddy left for Syracuse Friday morning. My mom and I spent some time shopping and had dinner over at my aunt's while Kyle and my Dad headed to Buffalo to watch the Sabres/Penguins game. Kyle was disappointed the Penguins didn't win! We spent some time on Saturday with Beth, Ben, Becky, and Payton. On Sunday, Kyle headed back to Buffalo for the Bills/49ers game-this time Kyle was happy--the 49ers won! I took my mom to meet Lisa and Mat in Syracuse so she could return to Albany with them. Phew!! It was a great start to the holiday season.
Grayson continues to grow and explore his surroundings. He is getting pretty fast in his army crawl-but I think he will be crawling soon. He is also starting to realize he can pull up and loves to be standing up all of the time! He is now very active and I can tell by his frustration that he is ready to really start moving!!
We look forward to this month-I will be turning 30 and Grayson will be turning 1!!!
We wish all of you a safe and happy holiday season!
